Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards, ARTA, is a unique festival event that celebrates the best of British curry and champions the talented chefs working in the industry, regardless of their profile. The programme asks the public to vote for their favourite restaurant or business and see them awarded on the 30th of September at our gala award event held at the 02 Intercontinental in London. Ahead of this finale event, voters can turn up and enjoy any of our cook-off events across sixteen regions of the UK to determine who truly serves the best masala. For us, ARTA is a chance to give back to a vibrant community that has fed and watered generations of citizens and celebrates everything that is strong and unique about our shared culture.
By running the ARTA programme, we look to highlight the best of the sector which involves a commitment to celebrate the best chefs, restauranteurs and companies currently excelling in the sector. These individuals are nominated by public vote, and our expert panel of judges assess the quality of their dish - allowing a platform for each nominee to display their talent. We commit to openness and inclusion and we hope that this passion is shared by those intending. Our scoring and debating processes are all transparent and we encourage diners of all stripes to get involved with the process. We look forward to provide inspiration and support by considering the work in the restaurant industry that have a chance to meet experienced chefs and inspire those looking to enter the sector. And in turn, those chefs and restaurant owners who are already working in the industry will have a chance to get to know up-and-coming young talent. We support the cultural importance of curry.
